Espectro Dorado is an Audiovisual Álbum & performance by Marta Verde and José Venditti that explores the mystical experience of the golden gleam through light, imagery, and sound.

It's an audiovisual proposal that delves into the nuances of the spectrum of gold, from ground gold to burnished gold, from chrysolite gold to brass gold, seeking where the human connection with the shine emerges beyond its symbolic relationship with power and money.

Throughout history, the color gold has symbolized abundance, wealth, and power, with gold being one of the most precious metals and coined into "standard value" currency.

However, the fascination with the golden gleam has transcended its symbolic connection to power and wealth.

The "wise gold" represented a spectrum of colors that elevated spirits to higher states of consciousness, while alchemists believed that gold was the most perfect metal and contained a unique "vital essence."

For them, the process of transforming metals was a reflection of the alchemist's internal transformation, and the transformation of lead into gold was a metaphor for the transformation of the human soul from darkness to light.

Gold also represented the halos that saints wore on their heads, the color of the apple of discord carried by Eris, the solar orbs carried by some Egyptian gods like Ra, or the skin of Chaitania in India.

Before its commercial value, pre-Columbian peoples in the Americas also used gold for spiritual and ceremonial purposes, while the use of the golden color spectrum has been employed in wind and percussion instruments through brass.

ESPECTRO DORADO es un álbum y performance audiovisual de Marta Verde y José Venditti que profundiza en la experiencia mística del brillo dorado a través de la luz, la imagen y el sonido.

Una propuesta audiovisual que explora los matices del espectro; del oro molido al bruñido, del dorado crisolita al del latón, para indagar en la conexión humana con el metal precioso.

A lo largo de la historia, el color dorado ha simbolizado la abundancia, la riqueza y el poder, siendo el oro uno de los metales más preciados y acuñado en monedas como valor patrón. Sin embargo, la fascinación áurea ha trascendido su relación simbólica con el poder y la riqueza.

Antes de su valor comercial, los pueblos de la América precolombina utilizaron el oro con fines espirituales y ceremoniales. Así, mientras que el "dorado sabio" representaba un espectro de colores que elevaba los espíritus a estadios superiores de consciencia, la alquimia europea creía que el oro era el más perfecto de los metales al contener una "esencia vital" única. La ansiada transmutación del plomo en oro era, para esta protociencia, una metáfora perfecta de la salida de las tinieblas del alma humana.

Dorados también se representan los halos de santidad, la manzana de la discordia que portaba Eris, los orbes solares de algunos dioses egipcios como Ra, o la piel de Chaitania en India.

Desde tiempos inmemoriales se han adornado los instrumentos musicales con oro. Apolo tocaba la cítara, Afrodita la flauta y Orfeo la lira, doradas todas ellas. Sus sonidos divinos obraban milagros. El uso de esta tonalidad perdura en nuestros días en los instrumentos de viento y percusión a través del latón.
